Payment Types Accepted: Check or Money Order Personal Check held for clearance Description: 1957 manufacture 12 gauge, 28” barrels with 2 ¾” chambers. Chokes are marked Skeet (.006) and Skeet (.006). The barrels have a 5/16” ventilated rib with a silver center bead and red front bead. The top barrel has BROWNING ARMS CO. - ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI and SPECIAL STEEL with caliber and chamber length on the left side. The right side is marked with the patent numbers and MADE IN BELGIUM. The nickel finished action is engraved with two fighting cocks on the left side with three hens and trees in the background surrounded by scroll. The right side has several game birds, both standing and in flight, surrounded by scroll. The bottom has a retriever with a downed bird standing in tall grass. Scroll engraving covers much of the remaining metal including the forend iron, top lever and long tang trigger guard. Engravers signature “Funken” is in both side scenes. The retriever on the bottom is not signed. The buttstock is fairly straight grained walnut with point pattern checkering at grip and the length of pull measures 14-1/2″ over a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. Drop at comb is 1 5/8”, drop at heel is 2 1/2”. The forearm has point checkering and is in very good condition with 95% original finish and several handling marks. The buttstock retains 95% finish and has numerous handling marks and light scratches. The buttstock appears to have been replaced indicated by mismatched checkering. The barrels retain 95% original bluing with typical slide marks at the forend. The receiver forend iron and trigger guard are in excellent condition and could benefit from a cleaning. This shotgun has a single, selective, gold inertia trigger and ejectors. The gold is almost completely worn off. There are several small dings in the left side of the rib near the muzzle.
