Inland M1 Carbine, Cal. .30 Carbine, ser. 65529XX.
A lovely example of the lightweight workhorse of WWII. The finish is about 95+% of the original parkerizing. The loss is due to some very slight sharp edge silvering. The barrel is marked Inland Div. of General Motors and dated 9-43.The bolt is the early flat type and the handguard (marked HI) is also the early 2 rivet type. The safety is the later lever type (M Stamped). The bayonet barrel and (marked KI) and rear sight (HL marked) are also the later type. The trigger group is stamped (BE-B). The stock is a rather really attractive grained walnut. The sling slot is stamped HLB, (Jamesburg Lounge Co.). It has two field repairs, one at the toe which is easily noticeable. The other on the left forearm top edge not easily noticeable. The bore is super, the rifling is mirror bright, razor sharp and without a trace of graying. Like the rest of the gun it is showing very little use. The gun comes with one correct IA magazine*........ $895.
