Description: Parker PHE 16 Gauge SxS Shotgun 1 of 208 MADE WITH PARKER STEEL BARRELS General Specs: Parker, Year 1928, 16 Gauge, 6lbs 4oz, Side by Side Serial Number: 226246 The Parker PH Grade is the first "Graded" Parker above the VH that has engraving in the way of some very nice scroll around the frame and screws, on the breech balls, the trigger guard, top lever, and forend metal. The PHE is not a common gun in 16ga., with only 208 ever made with Parker Steel (fluid steel) barrels, and less than 100 of those had ejectors. This beautifully restored Parker, sn226246 built in 1928, is on the typical #1 frame reserved for the 16ga. platform, but is a very lightweight gun at 6 1/4lbs., lighter than many "O" frame 16's and balanced perfectly between the hands. When I say "beautifully restored" I mean near perfection! The 26" Parker Steel barrels have mirror bores choked LM/IM (.013 right, .023 left) with a healthy 22 thou minimum wall thickness right barrel, 23 thou left barrel, 100% beautiful rust blue, tight ribs, barrels tight on breech face and hinge pin like a new gun. The receiver has 100% perfect bone and charcoal case colors that are exactly Parker colors when their guns were new. Every screw on the gun is perfect, the engraving sharp and clear, the bright nickel triggers are crisp, trigger guard 100% bright charcoal blue, the ejectors strong and timed, mechanically excellent in every way. The wood is without flaw with excellent checkering, grip cap, and Parker dogs head butt plate with very nice shootable dimensions of 14 x 2 5/8 x 1 1/2" x neutral cast. You just can't find an engraved Parker ejector gun this nice to buy in this price range. A great upland gun or clays gun that is a rare and desirable Parker will only go up in value as you enjoy its use, so don't let this one get by you! Thanks for looking.
