Walther P.38 9mm Para AC Code caliber pistol. Extremely rare “AC No Date”. Correct Waffenamts on the slide, frame, and small parts. Matching serial numbers in the correct range. Grips are correctly numbered to the gun. Bore is about very good. Import marked on the back of the frame in very small letters. Matching magazine with correct Waffenamt on magazine and on internal base plate when you remove the bottom of the magazine. The matching number is on the magazine tab. One of our sources says it should be numbered on the body of the magazine. This is a very sharp pistol. We think this gun was Dip Blued when it was imported. There is no buffing, no rounding of edges. All Waffenamt and markings are crisp and clear. Under a strong magnifier there are very fine etchings in the metal. We are selling this as a Dip Blued, no buff, no extras polish pistol that looks original in all respects. We think this gun had good original blue when it was Dip Blued and that is part of the reason this rare pistol looks so good. Note: Guns imported in the 70’s and 80’s were Dip Blued as a standard procedure by importers no matter how much original finish was on the gun.
