It looks like a Philippine Constabulary Carbine, but it's not. It appears that at the turn of the century the Government released a quantity of these guns to gun buyers such as the famous Francis Bannerman. They in turn offered to the public, their version of the Philippine Constabulary Carbine.. This is an example of one of those. The gun is very attractive. While retaining very little blue on the receiver and left side of the box magazine, it does have a very nice silver patina devoid of any rust or pits. The barrel and the right side have retained about 85% of the blue, again with no pits or rust. The walnut stock is in great condition retaining about 90% of the original Arsenal finish. There are no split or cracks anywhere. There are a few small dings and scratches. The left side has a great inspector’s cartouche, "JFL" in a square. The rear sight, bolt face, interior and feed ramp show very little use. The bore does show some use with mild graying, however the rifling is still quite distinct. Could be a real fun gun. .....$395.
