SOLD PENDING FUNDS: For sale is a 1945 manufactured Colt Service Model Ace in .22 LR cartridge. This pistol is in excellent all original condition and rated at 98%+. The bore is mirror bright and the mechanics function perfectly. In 1945 three changes were made to the Service Model Ace: The rear sight was changed from a Stevens sight to an improved Steven's adjustable sight, the grips were changed from checkered Walnut to the Coltwood plastic, and the blued finish was changed to a Parko-Lubrite (Parkerized) finish. This gun incorporates all of these changes. The inspectors mark is on the left side of the frame and is marked G.H.D. (Guy H. Drewry Army inspector of Ordnance 1942-1945). The right side of the frame is stamped with final inspection mark of the Crossed Canons Ordnance Wheel. This gun is all correct and in high condition making it an excellent candidate for your collection and a great investment. Any anomalies seen in the pictures are reflections of light off the oiled surface.
