Luger P-08 Mauser (42 Code). Dated 1940 Ser. 90XX h. A really nice example of the earlier coded mauser manufacture. The gun retains about 95+% of the original factory blue. The main loss is actually from holster wear. Typically the muzzle, side plate and sharp edge silvering. There are also few pin pricks on the right slide rail and the usual rub mark on the stock lug.. There is no rust or scratches that have not been mentioned. All numbered parts match. The frame is stamped Eagle/655, Eagle/655, Eagle/Swastika. The barrel is stamped, Eagle/Swastika. The walnut grips are in perfect condition. No splits or dents and no flattened points. They are also numbered to the gun. The grip screws are deep blue and unmarred. Judging by the bolt face and feed ramp the gun has seen very little use. The bore is great, bright with very sharp rifling, and just a hint of graying. The gun comes with one correct non matching magazine. This modestly priced P-08 would be outstanding in a collection and should be really good X ring puncher. A no regrets acquisition.... $2095
