Description:
26” barrels, single blade 1/3 rib rear sight, dovetailed front gold bead sight. Rear sight rib is marked “B. SEARCY & CO BORON CA. Left barrel is marked “577 3” NITRO EXPRESS”. Barrel flats and receiver water tables are marked with serial number only. Bores are clean and shiny. Dual under lug locking system. Dual triggers (non-hinged front) and ejectors. Non automatic safety. The nicely figured walnut stock and forend are point checkered at 22 lines per inch. The buttstock has a shadow line European style cheekpiece and a 14 5/8” length of pull over a Pachmayr Old English recoil pad. Overall condition is near new: the barrels retain 99% bluing with a small ding in the outer edge of the left muzzle. The receiver retains 99% case coloring with what appears to be some varnish flaking off at the water tables. The forend iron retains all of its case coloring. The trigger guard and top lever retain 99% bluing. The stock and forend are near perfect with all finish remaining and a couple of very minor handling marks. Weight is 13.5 lbs.
