Description:
A pair of COLT derringers,, .22 caliber short, 2 & 1/2" barrels, 1st Series, 4th Model. They come in a case designed to look like a book for your bookcase. The "book" is a grey color in front and back, with a red spine , a red strap to hold it closed and gold tone simulated "pages". The front of this book reads: "A Limited Edition by Colt". Below the above is a brass plate that is inscribed: "Deringers- 1836-1960". The spine of the book reads: COLT, Deringers, Limited Edition, 1836-1960." The pistols are nickel plated with simulated white ivory grips. They are unfired and as new. .. The serial numbers are : 14140 N and 14141 N- a consecutively numbered matched pair. These were made from 1960-1963. Only 22,880 were made. These are modern weapons, so an FFL is required., a C & R License is OK.
A nice addition to a Colt collection and rarely available, especially in this condition.
