Two consecutive sets SxS chopper-lump barrels with flat hand-matted ribs, large ivory front bead and fine steel middle bead. 28" barrels choked modified & improved modified. 26" barrels choked cylinder & improved cylinder. 14 1/2" pull from single trigger to leather covered pad. 1 5/8" - 2 1/2" drop. 1/4" cast-off. Highly figured Circassian walnut stock with straight English grip, Anson-release beavertail forend, classic point-pattern checkering with mullered borders and teardrops. Extra Finish Purdey rose & scroll engraving and with deep-chiseled acanthus scroll fences by Ken Hunt and "Green Man" engraved on underside of receiver. Bushed firing pins, cocking indicators and automatic safety with SAFE in gold. Weight: 7lbs, 3oz. Original London proof for 2 3/4" cartridges. Built 1959. Retaining 99%+barrel blue and 95% casehardening colors. Mechanically fine, in proof, with tight action and excellent bores. With Purdey email confirming specification.
