Brass tacked Winchester 1866 Saddle Ring Carbine .44 Rimfire caliber carbine. Made in 1876. Sharp gun with correct period brass tacks. These are the correct to the period square shanked tacks and appear original to the period. The barrel has a smooth brown patina. The frame is very good with a dark golden patina. Wood has various normal handling wear with some cracks near the frame around the upper tang. All of these are old and stable. Very attractive yellow boy carbine!
