The buyer assumes the responsibility for transfer fees or background check fees that the receiving dealer will charge. It is also the buyer's responsibility to insure that the dealer will accept the firearm(s). We encourage that the buyer contact the dealer before we transfer the gun to them for pick-up to insure that there are no problems with your transfer. If the dealer refuses to accept delivery of your firearm, you will be responsible for shipping charges to recover the firearm and reship it to a dealer that is willing to receive it.

Description:
Firearm is in 97%+ condition and is very lightly used and does not appeared to have ever been carried. Action is super smooth and tight, firearm locks up like a vault and appears to have had a few boxes of shells fired throughout it's life. There is the slightest about of blue wear on the very edges of the muzzle on either side as well as a couple light marks on the frame and cylinder. Only other condition issue is a couple of specs of rust on the left side of the frame directly below the Rampant Colt (shown in pictures).

The Colt Diamondback is a revolver that was manufactured by Colt's Manufacturing Company of Hartford, Connecticut from 1. This particular model features a 6" Barrel, Colt Royal Blue finish and is chambered for the .38 Special Cartridge. Based on the serial number of S79847 the year of manufacture is mid-late 1979.
The design of the Colt Diamondback was inspired by the highly successful Colt Python .357 Magnum. Being built on a slightly smaller frame the Diamondback was available in barrel lengths of 2½, 4, and 6 inches. Factory chambering options of this firearm included .22 Long Rifle, .22 Magnum or .38 Special.
Colt introduced the double-action Diamondback as a deluxe model, built with the same precision and quality as it's bigger brother the Colt Python. Standard features of the Diamondback included a wide serrated target hammer, ventilated rib, fully adjustable target quality sights, and full-length barrel underlug.
