Description:
This knife came directly from a world class collector who sold his entire collection 10 years ago. The knife has a silver plaque reads Pike County H&F Club which I was told refers the Pike County Hunting and Fishing Club in Pike County Pennsylvania. Handle is ebony, silver guard, inset grommet. The double edge blade was fully etched but only retains portions of the floral design due to sharpening over its life. The scabbard is fragile but intact. Brass has some name or names which I cannot make out . Under it reads Barnegat. The owner also stated the knife maker was most likely a Cutler in the North East providing knives to surgeons. I can send more pictures if needed. Overall length is 13+1/2".
