Description:
This pre war Model 70 in .375 H&H Magnum has a 24” #4 medium heavy barrel that retains 98% original bluing with a couple of minor surface rust specks and a clean, shiny bore. The cloverleaf receiver tang receiver retains 99% original bluing, while the steel floorplate retains 95% original bluing with some light handling marks. The trigger guard retains 50% original bluing. Matching serial numbers on receiver and bolt. Original Winchester 22G rear sight with 3C step elevator and Lyman 31W front gold bead sight and hood. The wide checkered, straight combed stock retains 95% of its original finish with some very light handling marks and has the original sling swivel studs. Original 13.5” length of pull over original factory Winchester recoil pad. Weight is 8.75 lbs. The barrel has been cut back ½” and recrowned for unknown reasons.
