FINE HUNTER ARMS COMPANY GLADIATOR TOURNAMENT GRADE 16 GA. 28” DOUBLE SHOTGUN CA. 1919. Little used and all original higher engraved mid grade Gladiator. Full and Full choked barrel with 2 ½” original chambers and double white beads. Barrels stamped “GLADIATOR TOURNAMENT GRADE”. Extractors, automatic safety and double triggers. Factory floral scroll engraving on frame and mounts. Left side of frame with rectangular cartouche which is stippled instead of having the “GLADIATOR” trademark but this may be original or done later but looks good. Excellent condition with 95% blue and 70% plus case hardening colors. Stock and forend with excellent checkering with some slight wear on the forend but with all the original finish. Original Hunter Arms Company “DOG HEAD” hard rubber butt plate. 14 ¼” pull. 1 5/8th, 2 ¾” drop. Perfect working order and mint bores. Only a handful made in 16 gauge out of a total production of 66 guns most of which were 12 gauge. Very nice and tight showing little use.
