Description:
Nice solid English non-ejector sidelock that is ready to go! Tight and will handle all modern short-chambered ammo. This Birmingham Game Gun would make a great starter shotgun or a rainy day gun for you purists. I bought it from Australia about 15 years ago and am selling a few guns to be able to buy something nicer! That tends to be the progression once you get involved in the collecting and using of them. I read somewhere that Skimin & Wood took over Holloway and Naughton in the 20's, but don't quote me on that. I'm more into having the guns and enjoying them then being a historian of them. This double is characteristic of most English game guns with open and tight choking, relatively light-weight and of course the useful double triggers. If you are wondering why there are spider webs on the gun in the pics, it's because I initially put the gun in the opening corner of the trailer and since it is out in the country, there are a lot of spiders... don't worry... I've already wiped the gun down!
