Merkel 303 Luxus O/U 20 ga. shotgun 26-3/4" 20 ga. barrels, ventilated matted rib choked .006/.008 (improved cylinder/modified) and additional 20 ga./ 222 Remington combination barrels measuring 25-1/2" with raised matted rib choked .020 (improved modified). Sidelock action with outstanding deep game scene engraving of partridge and capercaillie in a woodland setting. Hidden hand-detachable locks. Single selective trigger. Cocking indicators. Finely checkered stock with Luxus carving of bold contrasting black and rich red European walnut measures 14-3/8" to a leather covered recoil pad. Each set of barrels with their own individual forend. Per Merkel's model designation, this sidelock over/under shotgun and combination shotgun rifle two barrel set, is known as a 313. Fitted with a Zeiss 1.5-6x42 Diavari-Z T* telescope fitted in claw mounts. Weighs 6 lbs, 15 oz. with shotgun barrels and remains in as new condition. Tan leather fitted trunk case with red baize interior marked W Glaser Waffen AG/ Gunmakers / Zurich-Switzerland. A fabulous presentation and a wonderfully crafted set for all your upland pursuits!
