This one was produced ca. 1830. Metal and wood are both in Very good to Excellent condition. The Manton name is inscribed on the lock, with "London" inscribed on the barrel top. The heavy octogon barrel is 6 & 1/4" long , is .65 caliber and retains over 80% of the original blue/damascus finish. The overall length is 11 & 1/2". The action is very strong and the hammer holds on full and half cock. The lock, barrel tang,, hammer and fancy trigger guard are engraved and retain about 90% of the original blued finish. There is a silver band around the barrel near the hammer. The walnut stock extends almost to the end of the barrel and is in excellent condition with just a few dings and no splits, cracks or wood loss. The wood is finely checkered at the grip and there is a blank escutcheon (placque) at the grip top. There is a captive ramtrod. This would be a fine addition to a collection of fine English pistols. This is an antique so no FFL is required. It may be sent directly to a proud new owner.
