Description:
This is a scarce set of original Winchester Reloading Tools in Caliber .50-110 Express for the Model 1886 Winchester Rifle. Basically, it consists of the Model 1894 Reloading Tool, a 5th Model Bullet Mold with correct walnut handles, an original Winchester 50-110 Cartridge box which contains 20 pieces of original Winchester 50-110 Brass. BTW, although they are identical to the others, 3 of the brass cases are marked for the rare 50-110-450 variation which used a 450 grain bullet. Condition-wise, the bullet Mold is Excellent overall with nice cavities. Unique to the 50-110, these molds have a cylindrical cut in the bottom of the bullet cavity for inserting a die to make hollow points. The little dies are always missing and any old screw driver (preferably one with a small wooden handle) can be fashioned to work perfectly. Handle is marked 50-110 EX. with Winchester address on the side of the right half of the mold body. Most original blue remains. The Model 1894 reloading tool is in Fine Condition with the sizing die marked the same as the mold, 50-110 EX. Winchester address is on the main body of the tool. As is almost always the case on these 1894 tools, the decapper pin is long gone. The Winchester 50-110 Box is in Fair condition with old tape over parts of the lid cap. Part of the labels are missing but the box is intact including the original partitions. The empty brass 50-110 cartridge cases all appear to be in good condition with Winchester marked headstamps. We're hoping that a Winchester Collector whose been fortunate enough to acquire a Model 1886 in 50-110 will find these tools useful. As hard as it is to find a rifle in this caliber, an original set of reloading tools is even tougher to find.
