This is a nice above average M 1886 rifle. Antique serial range. Full octagon, full magazine.
This gun has been cleaned over the years but has not been abused or polished. Shows little evidence of corrosion on outside metal, just grey & still sharp.
Original sights, bore is about a 6 out of 10 and may clean better. Nice rifling. 26" barrel. Good shooter I believe. Action tight & proper.
Wood is original, uncracked or chipped. Sound. Unsanded. Great fit all over. Pictures describe the rifle well. Just a nice above average antique '86 !
