Description:
SOLD...REDUCED PRICE  Antique Smith & Wesson 1 1/2 first model. Here is a well above average little Smith & Wesson first model 1 1/2 . Also a very early S/N 2767 with all matching assembly numbers of course.  In .32 RF caliber of course. Has the standard  3 1/2" barrel. This is a very tight gun and the mechanics are excellent. A very crisp and tight gun. This one also has a very tight hinge with NO looseness or wobble. These always have loose and worn out hinges but it not the case here. It is as tight as new. This one also has some very nice bright but slightly thinning blue on the frame. The right side of the frame has about  75% blue remaining. There is some refection from the camera that washed out some of the blue on the photo of the right side of the frame so it has a bit more blue than the photo shows.. The left side has a little less and about  50%. There is some blue on the top of the frame also and on the bottom. The back strap has good traces of blue still remaining and does the butt by the S/N. Also has blue  on the upper part of the front grip strap. The barrel has traces of blue in the protected areas. The cylinder has no finish and is a medium brown patina. The balance of the gun has the same brown patina.  There is no pitting on the gun but on the front face of the cylinder from black powder flash and it has never been cleaned on or messed with. The hammer has some case colors visible on the rear. The markings are excellent. The rose wood grips are excellent as well with NO chips or cracks and a perfect factory fit and numbered to the gun of course. Still showing  95% original varnish. The screws and take down pins are all sharp and crisp. Un touched front sight never messed with. The bore is very good with strong rifling and the normal black powder roughness you will see in these revolvers. The cylinder chambers are better with very little roughness at all.  This is a very nice example of this 1 1/2 fist model. It has a tight hinge with a good amount of blue remaining and is a very tight little gun. Much better than the dirt brown, and much rougher ones you see that are all loose and worn out with a wobbly hinge that are still selling for $400. This one is reasonably priced with this in mind. There are much nicer ones out there I am sure but you won't buy them at this price. All in all a very nice little S&W for the dollar... Call 765-728-8049 with any questions of more photos. $15 insured priorit mail shipping. Please check out my other items while you are here. I also have a very nice blue S&W 1 1/2 seceond model in about the same condition. Would make someone a very nice pair of 1st and 2nd models. Thank you for looking.
