Description:
This is a commercial model Colt M1911A1 Government Model pistol in .45 ACP. The serial number dates it to 1924. This pistol has been refinished with some pitting visible underneath on the front left side of the slide as can be seen in the picture. The arched mainspring housing with lanyard loop, safety, slide release, wide hammer, and magazine release are all checkered as they should be. The grips have been replaced with checkered walnut grips with gold Colt medallions, and the rear sight is an MMC adjustable one. The bore has good rifling with some frosting.
