Description:
Australian Lithgow rifle built 1942 showing matching serial # M9012 and a bright excellent bore. This piece was converted to a grenade launcher, the copper binding shows the typical work of Lithgow being soldiers pinned and painted. The piece does not show any Ey marking indicating a conversion from a reserve class of rifle. The metal rates as excellent. The butt stock shows the date of 10/57 which was the probable date of conversion. The wood is typical Australian coach wood and shows normal issue and usage marks. Overall excellent example.
