Description:
U.S. Springfield Model 1888 .45-70 caliber Trapdoor rifle. Made in 1892. Very fine gun with blue that is slightly toning. Case color on the breech is still visible. Stock is very fine with sharp cartouche dated 1892. There is a marking in the stock in old red paint which appears to be a rack number with a number 206. This is a 1888 model with the ramrod bayonet.
