COLT PERCUSSION (PRE-1899)-Colt 1849 POCKET MODEL 16-2
Colt 1849 Pocket Model Percussion Revolver Civil War era Serial # 73073 all matching including wedge and rammer, 6” Barrel, 5 shot as frame etc. Standard markings are very clear and readable, early address “Samuel Colt New York City”. Gun is in fine condition, Finish has thinned out and is very light on Barrel, cylinder frame, rammer, cylinder scene is all there and sharp, gripes have almost all the original varnish, very fine. Frame has case colors but a little dark and somewhat silvered out trigger guard and back strap have 95% + of the original silver plating. The gun works fine mechanically, locks up tight when cocked; the bore has 90% of the rifling and a little corrosion and chambers look good, Beautiful original walnut Colt factory case, accessories include original blue iron bullet mold marked “Colt’s Patent”, has most of bluing, a little dark, original small, brass powder flask, packet of original paper cartridges for gun marked “American Powder Co. for Colts revolvers 31/100 caliber, also an original tincan for 250 percussion caps by Ely, and original brass key and original conical bullet for gun.
