REMINGTON-RIDER NO. 1 ROLLING BLOCK ARGENTINE MODEL 1879 INFANTRY RIFLE. .43 Spanish caliber. 75,000 made on contract by Remington for Argentina. Remington address and patent date stamped on tang. Barrel breech stamped “MODELO ARGENTINO 1879 E.N.”. Looks very near mint with 100% of the later Argentine arsenal blue finish. Matching stock and forend with all the finish.. Bore appears mint and unfired. All of these appear the same with blued frames and appear unused. Extra nice looking and an original Remington Rolling Block.
