The Winchester Model 62/62A Visable Hammer was made from 1932 to 1958, with over 409,000 manufactured. The slide action rifles were a modern version of the Model 1890 and were fitted with a 23 inch round or octagon barrel. This Model 62A is fitted with a 23 inch round barrel and is in very fine condition, retaining about 97-98% of its original blue finish due to thinning on the sharp edges of the frame and muzzle of the barrel. the walnut stock and forearm retain most all of their original finishes with assorted minor handling scratches. The bore is bright, with sharp rifling, and the action functions as new. One of my favorite slide action 22 rifles.
