Description:
10 gauge hammer shotgun. Colt shotguns are hard to come by and are a fine shotgun. This is a good example. Colt address on the rib. Gun has a beautiful Damascus pattern on the 29" bbls. Shiny bores. Some moderate pitting mostly towards the chamber area. Bores are bright. Heavy walled bbls that are smooth with no apparent dings or dents. Lock up is solid. Bbls are on face. The frame has nice smooth metal with most case colors remaining. Very pretty colors on the sidelocks which are marked with "Colt Manufacturing Co." The screw holding the lever in place still displays the beautiful Colt fire blue. Just as amazing is the buttplate. Mostly greyed out but retain some visible case colors. Stock could not be much better for a gun of this age. We always think of Colt for hand guns but they also made some of these fine shotguns.
