Description:
Very Rare Tanner Single Shot target rifle in .308 Winchester. This rifle is designed for 300 meter and long range competition (300-1000 yards). 26" blued bull barrel with Tanner proof marks. Bore and throat are in mint new condition. Three lug bolt with Sako style extractor, two stage adjustable match trigger. Trigger is adjustable from 800 grams to 2200 grams. The trigger breaks like a glass rod!!! Super high quality single shot action that is very smooth. Receiver has an integral dovetail slot that the rear sight attaches to and is market Tanner Switzerland. Offset Tanner front and rear target sights. Both front and rear have adjustable diameter iris. Full length hand stop rail with detents and a hand stop retention plate/stop. The dark walnut target stock is in excellent condition. Stippled pistol grip. Adjustable cheek piece and adjustable butt plate assembly. The bolt and bolt face are in mint condition and shows no sign of use. There have only been a very few number of Tanners ever imported into the USA and this is definitely a very rare rifle here in America.
Numerous successes with Tanner rifles have been achieved at European, World and Olympic Competitions. Not only the Swiss but also the National Rifle Teams of nearly all nations actively executing the shooting sport are equipped with Tanner rifles. This rifle complies with current ISSF rules.
