Payment Types Accepted: Paypal Description: Up for your consideration is a rare Hamilton boys no.7 Skelton rifle . This rifle was made was the first rifle produced by the Hamilton rifle co. Of Plymouth mich. in about 1898, as a matter fact they were packaged and ready for shipping before their patten was approved . They applied for a patten on Nov. 7 ,1898 and the patten was approved on Nov. 20 ,1900. According to a Hamilton rifle historian R. Bauer , Hamilton produced about 44,700. No7 rifles from 1899 to 1901 and of those 99.9 did not survive (45 survived) this no 7 rifle is in very good original condition with about 99 percent of the nickel plating present . All parts are present as it originally left the factory and they worked .
