Description:
This is a very nice collectible Remington Model "1861 OLD NAVY" Civil war revolver. .36 caliber. Lots of inspector's markings along with "cartouche" on left grip panel. Walnut grips are very good and show some edge loss. Metal is all blue to grey patina. Cylinder has some old re-blue, remaining. The serial number is #17666. Manufactured in 1862 and issued during the Civil War! All numbered parts match the serial number: barrel, trigger guard and frame. The barrel is 7 3/8" long and has a very good bore. Screw heads are very good. Only approx. 7000 of this model were made and most show heavy use. I accept USPS Money Orders or Bank Cashier's Check. Will accept Personal Check, (with shipping hold).
