Description:
This is a CIVIL WAR, Remington Model 1861, "OLD ARMY" Model Revolver. .44 caliber. 8" barrel with a very good bore. It has lots of Inspector's acceptance marks, along with a nice "CARTOUCHE" on left grip panel. Metal shows some bluing remaining in the protected areas.The rest is all blue grey patina. Serial number is #11128, and is found on the frame, barrel and trigger guard. The walnut grips a very nice. Right panel has has a small rectangle portion removed, on the inside ,for some reason? Only approx 6000 of this model were made, in 1862, during the civil war. I accept USPS Money Orders or Bank Cashier's Check. (Will accept personal check, with shipping hold.)
