Description:
A Whitney model 1879 lever action rifle in .44-40 with an octagonal barrel, full length magazine, ramp adjusted rear sight, steel butplate with accessory hole covered with a sliding brass plate. The bore is mostly bright with some light pitting and the finish is largely a patinated grey finish with some handling scratches on the sides of the receiver. The stock and forend have light scratches and dings throughout consistent with light usage.
