Description:
Winchester pre 64 model 12 20ga field grade.This gun has the hard to find 26" solid rib barrel choked improved cylinder.This gun retains 95% of the original blue and 98%of the original wood finish.This is a very unusual gun in several respects.It was built in 1963 and it is the latest production solid rib gun I have ever seen.It also has the small flat bottom forend used on the model 12s produced in the 1950s.The gun is all original and shows no signs of ever having been altered.All numbers match and all of the roll marks and proof marks are sharp and crisp.I believe that it was a "clean up"gun built in 1963 out of left over parts and shipped out before Winchester stopped production on the model 12 in late 1964.It is a hard to find configuration and would make a great all around bird gun or a unique addition to your collection.C&R eligible.
