Remington "BEALS" Patent Army .44 caliber Revolver. All numbered parts match the Serial #1538. Has an 8" barrel with an excellent strong bore. Walnut grips are solid with some edge loss. Nice "CARTOUCHES", on each grip panel (2). Has lots of inspector's acceptance markings on metal. ..44 caliber. with a Strong action. Screw heads are nice. Metal is all brown Patina! Brass trigger guard is un-cleaned patina. Manufactured in 1861-62. Only 1900 were made! I accept USPS Money Orders or Bank Cashier's Check. (Will accept Personal Check, with shipping hold.)
