Description:
A. Lajot-Belgium( cir: 1928). 12 ga. 3 barrel set. This unique gun has 3 sets of barrels. The first set is 26” with chokes of 19 & 19 th. The second set is 28” with chokes of 10 & 18 th. The third set is 28” with chokes of 5 & 19 th. All three of the barrels have engraving from about 1’ back from the breach. This gun is a very high grade Belgium gun with a total of 11 gold game scene inlays. The inlays are accented by fine scroll engraving. This elegant gun has a Miller single trigger. The checkering is very unique in that it is done in a basket weave design. We would bet that you could not find anybody who could do this type of checkering today. The history of this gun is interesting: This was owned by Robert Ingalls of Birmingham Alabama. Mr. Ingalls owned Ingalls Iron Works and also Ingalls Ship Building.
