A prize for the serious Collector of Colt WW II M1911A1 pistols.
Guaranteed ORIGINAL, as made by Colt. Bore is perfect; WW II Parkerizing is slowly adopting the normal uniform warm dark brown patina of properly stored unused WW II M1911A1 pistols. All springs are strong, the gun functions perfectly. Main spring housing is the early arched and cross-checkered type; grips are perfect mid-War Colt production; magazine release is the deeply cross-hatched version. Grip screws are blued and perfect. Markings are all correct, including: US Property (over) No. 1145143; M1911A1, US Army; Ordnance Wheel (light strike, to left of grip top); all patent dates; Rampant Colt logo, Colt's Patent, etc., Inspector mark: "GHD" (Lt. Col. Guy H. Drewry), "P" proof mark, Colt "VP" (tiny, top left of trigger guard), Ordnance "Bomb." Comes with issue paper box. Also with a copy of the Army's TM 90-1005-211-12 on the M1911A1.
