Description:
Here is an English competitor to Webley with their verison of an R.I.C. revolver. The frame could very well have been supplied by Webley ,or, the same foundry. There was a lot of cooperation between makers in the gun trade. Anyway, I believe that Pryse.got the design of the R.I.C. just right. In that the style is quite nice, barrel not too long, ejector good looking ,and grip is great. This piece has that nice smooth silvery metal with a little blue here and there. Wrap around grip is nice and all screws are great.Bore is fine with all rifling ( light pitting ) and chambers are nice. Mechanical  is great with lockup of chamber at maximum pull.Much rarer than a Webley. Oh, the barrel is a bit over 3 1/2 inches.I sell an antique as a collector's piece and if intending to shoot ,one should  have a gunsmith check out for safety and proper load. And this piece is in Webley Solid Frame Revolvers Models RIC, M&P, and No 5 book ( see photos ) by Black,Davis & Michaud on page 154. Will consider in trade a Maynard Model 1873 / 1882 action with stock for a Maynard heavy barrel. Or,what do you have available in Maynard ?
