Description:
The Dakota Model 76 is one of the most desirable hunting rifles in the world, proven on every continent, in every climate and on every type of game. Exemplifying the very best of bolt action innovation with exquisite lines and impeccable shot to shot precision, it has deservedly taken its place among the legendary rifles of the 20th and 21st centuries.
The Traveler breaks down into two sections-the receiver/stock and the barrel/forend-for compact carry. This gently used 300 Dakota Safari Grade features a XXX grade walnut stock with a shadow line Monte Carlo cheekpiece, hand cut point checkering (wrap around on forend) and an ebony forend tip. The satin finished stock has a metal grip cap and a Dakota Arms recoil pad yielding a 13 3/4” length of pull. The rust blued receiver has a set of Talley bases mounted on it. A single blade island sight and a front ramp sight with flip up night sight sit atop the 23” lightweight barrel. The metal, excluding the receiver, is matte blued and the bolt knob has two panel checkering. The barrel band front and inletted rear sling swivel studs make installing a sling easy. The stock has some very light handling marks. Weight is 8.6 lbs.
