The Model 70 was made from 1907 to the early 1930's. It is fun to shoot and the action is strong with everything working properly. The round barrel is 20 and 3/4" long and shows 60 to 70 % of the original blue finish. The overall length is 36" There are a few minor marks in the metal here and there but the overall condition is very good. The stock is in very good condition with a few use marks, but no splits, cracks or wood loss. The wood forepiece looks almost new but it is original.. The bore is somewhat dark but lots of rifling can be seen so it probably needs a good cleaning. This rifle looks and functions a lot like an old Winchester Model 1890 or 1906 pump. The big difference is you can buy thie nice Stevens for a third or less than what a Winchester sells for. The serial # is D 67 and on the left side of the action there are two marks, an 1 and a P both in circles. The top of the barrel contains the name "Stevens" and "Short, Long, Long Rifle". This is not a take down model and there is an exposed hammer. A sale must go through an FFL or the holder of a Curio/Relic license/ See others for sale under the name "ROMSEY" on this .
