It was found in the desert sand in San Diego, California in an area where it is believed old Western style movies were made years ago. The wood is in pretty good shape with a rough area towards the bottom of the grip. There may have been some leather in that area that has been lost due to age. The wood extends to the end of the barrel and there is a lot of decorative inlaid wire on both sides of the barrel and on the top of the grip The wire appears to be all there with none lost. .The metal plate opposite the lock is highly decorated in relief.. The flintlock mechanism does not work. The barrel is 10 and 1/2" long. The overall length is close to 18". This is a real conversation piece. Most likely one of a kind. The overall condition is definitely good enough to warrant hanging on the wall or displaying on a coffee table. No FFL required- it can be sent directly to a new owner.
