Description:
Holland & Holland 240 Apex Takedown. This one is a "take apart" which utilizes a large forward action screw to remove the barreled action from the stock. The whole unit can then be cased in the original case. the rifle matches the Holland record and there is provenance with the rifle. The bore and barrel are in very good condition, bolt has minimum slop and the trigger breaks clean, Cordite proofed to 34-100, 1 standing 1 folded and a hooded front. The address engraving and proofs are sharp and clear. The rifle is scoped with a Holland marked Swarovski 1,5 6X 42 on a griffin style sidemount. The stock is in very good condition with a minimum of handling marks, Trap grip cap, period correct sling eyes, cheekpiece, 14 1/2" LOP to a horn butt plate. 8lbs 5oz with the scope. A largely original rifle we will provide the Holland page upon request. The case is in good condtion. 03271 $15500.00
