Hunter Special made by Hunter Arms Co., Fulton NY - A collector quality gun in 99%+ original condition. Hunter arms made 3 models of double barrel guns – the L.C. Smith, the Hunter Special and the Fulton Special. About 90% of the Hunter Arms guns were the famous L.C. Smith design. However the Hunter Special is an Anson & Deeley boxlock with the famous rotary bolt designed by Alexander Brown for L.C. Smith. This gun is of the same quality of materials and workmanship as the L.C. Smith field grade gun but with less parts. This model is very scarce and a very desireable addition to any collection of American doubleguns. Only 8,876 (<2% of production) Hunter Specials were made from 1937 to 1945. This gun is a 12 gage with 28” barrels bored full & modified. Dimensions are 14X1 ½ X2 5/8.
