Description:
This is a pre-'64 Winchester Model 70 rifle in .30-06. The serial number indicates manufacture in 1952. The action is Good to Very Good with some wear on the bolt handle knob. The 24 inch barrel is Very Good with a few scratches and a little blue wear at the muzzle. The bore is shiny. The finish on the bottom metal is Very Good, but "Joe E. Vollmar Jr, St. Louis, Mo" has been etched on the floor plate. The checkered walnut stock is Very Good with a few handling marks. Quick Detachable swivel studs are on the stock. There is a folding rear sight and a front bead sight on a ramp, but the front hood is not present. Also included with this rifle is a Nikon Buckmasters 3-9X40 scope on a Leupold 1 piece base. The scope and mounts are included in the price of the rifle and will not be removed and the rifle repriced without them.
