What have we here, is a very scarce Red Nine. One of only 150,000 ever produced. This one is just about in the middle of the correct serial numbered group. Add to that the great condition and matching numbered stock, it doesn't get much better than that. The gun retains about 95% of the original factory finish. There is the usual loss from sharp edge, side rail and muzzle silvering. There is also the usual rub mark on the bottom of the barrel and the front edge of the magazine from the inside of the holster stock. Both rub marks are rather slight. right side of the barrel group is stamped Crown/W for the Wiemar Republic. The fire blued tangent sight slide and extractor are also about 95%. The grips straps show very little graying. All numbered parts match including the holster stock. The hardwood grips are properly stamped with the correct "Red 9" cut. The condition is similar to the rest of the gun. There are no chips, splits or dings anywhere. The interior of the gun, particularly the slide rails, bolt face, and feed ramp show almost no use. The bore is flat out beautiful. The rifling looks factory new without a hint of graying. The stock is also stamped Crown/W. As mentioned before, the stock is numbered to the gun. The condition is excellent. It retains about 90-95% 0f the original lacquer finish. The right side does have several light surface dings. Surprisingly, there are no splits or chips missing anywhere. A scarce find all matching Red 9 in outstanding condition, even more surprising as the bore isn't shot out as is the case in most of these old Broomhandles.........$4795.
