Description: This beautifully engraved one of a kind Colt Single Action Army in 45 Long Colt was executed by Colt Master Engraver Steve Kamyk to demonstrate the talents of the Colt Custom Shop.  It was displayed at the 1997 Shot Show in Las Vegas and featured in the 1998 Colt Custom Shop catalog.  It is pictured on page 323 of the “Colt and Its Collectors” book published by the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. Only the third ever screwless frame revolver produced by 1997, this exquisite masterpiece has 85% coverage primarily scroll and punch dot engraving patterns with striking 24K gold inlays. Stand-out engraving features of this Colt include: on the left side of the frame the bust of Samuel Colt with the grayed Colt factory in the background; on the right the bust of Elizabeth Colt with the Colt mansion in the background; “COLT” in gold relief lettering on the loading gate.  This exceptional Colt is unique down to its “CATALOG/97-1” serial number.
