ORIGINAL Winchester 1886 38-56 WCF Octagon Rifle. Please note that this is an original case colored rifle that has remained in miraculous condition. There is no restoration or touch up of any kind. Nearly all of the vivid Winchester case color remains with some light wear at the carry point. The 26 inch octagon barrel has a mirror like bore that rates a 10 and certainly matches the rest of the rifles condition. Minty original wood with perfect wood to metal fit. Original sights and crescent but. This 1886 has a factory set trigger as well. There is NO serial number on the lower tang and it never had one. Most likely the tang was changed at Winchester when the set trigger was added long ago. From the style of barrel address, this rifle is an antique pre 1898 production and we are selling it as such. This is perhaps the BEST ORIGINAL case colored 1886 around. It is a top collection and investment piece. Satisfaction guaranteed. Please phone for additonal photos.
