Description:
Winchester Model 1873 2nd Model rifle made in 1881. 44WCF caliber. Standard configuration 24" octagon barrel with full magazine and a rifle butt plate in 44 caliber, just the gun that everyone is looking for! Basically a brown gun with a plum/brown colored barrel. Wood is good fitting, forearm has a repaired crack on the bottom, otherwise the usual dings and nicks of a used cowboy gun. The interesting thing is that the receiver is from a carbine, and has the saddle ring holes plugged with 2 screws. Very shootable bore with good rifling and light roughness throughout. A good example of cowboy action Winchester rifle.
