Description:
Standard configuration 24 inch octagon barrel with full length mag tube and rifle butt. Thumb print dust cover. 44 WCF caliber. Second Model 1873 made in 1879. Not a bad honest looking gun with a pretty fair amount of original blue remaining on the receiver. Most original thinning blue on the barrel, mag tube is blue/brown patina. Forearm wood has a couple hair line cracks. Stock is in great shape and good fitting. Bore has some roughness throughout. Action is good. Original sights. Interesting gun with British proof marks, this gun has some miles on it going back and forth across the ocean.
