For your viewing is a maroon Colt Box for a Offical police Revolver model 38. The test target indicates this box belonged to revolver #627211 and was a pre war 22 cal. Revolver. Target enclosed was fired by J.M. Malloy. the shooting suggestions pamphlet shows Capt. E.J. Languish of the Hartford Police Department demminstrating correct shooting position. Also, is the original wrapping paper for the revolver. As there is no dates on box or target, the serial number of the revolver indicates it was made in 1939. If you have this revolver, or if you have a nice 6" 22 model 38 this box will be a added investment to you revolver.
